HOW TO PAINT YOUR ORNAMENT (BEST RESULTS)

 

1. Prep the Surface Wipe the ornament with a dry or slightly damp cloth to remove any dust from the 3D print. Make sure it’s fully dry before painting.

 

2. Use the Right Markers Acrylic paint markers or acrylic paints work best on PLA. Shake markers well and test on scrap before applying.

 

3. Start With Light Pressure Apply thin, even layers to avoid pooling in the print lines. Let each layer dry before adding another for stronger colors.

 

4. Add Details Slowly Use fine-tip acrylic markers for small features. Metallics and pastels also look great on grey PLA.

 

5. Optional: Seal for Durability After the paint is completely dry, spray with a clear acrylic sealer (matte or gloss). This protects the ornament and helps colors last longer.

 

IMPORTANT NOTES For indoor use only. Not intended for young children without supervision. Avoid water-based markers (they may streak on PLA). Allow ornament to dry completely before hanging.
